What a douchebag.

I hope Vancouver sends in tape and shit to the league and they throw the fucking book at this piece of shit. And the best part is, they have too. They can't chase Simon for that long and then let Pronger off lightly for the same shit.

I hope he gets 25 games. mad.gif

Though we all know sweet fuck all will be done about this. dry.gif

I cant believe you guys didnt notice this until today after the article. I noticed it watching the game (and thanks to listening to the radio) but since there asn't anything done about it in the game, and Kesler kept playing without complaining, I didn't think it was as bad as what Chris Simon did.

I remember this happening and I said to my wife Pronger looked like he just stepped on Kesler, on purpose. I kept waiting for the replay but they never showed it!

It was in the second period behind the Ducks net when they were to your TV right. I think it was Kesler and Burrows that hit Pronger at the same time, Kesler feel down and Pronger stepped back and looked like he stepped on Kesler as he was coming off the boards.

I can't find any highlight online of the incident but now that this is out there we should see it soon.

Yeah but I think he has more rings than our whole team.

He is a stupid asshole that is 100% correct but I'd take him on my team any day. Trying to kill people on the ice just shows he cares a great deal about winning. Better that Naslund skatting around looking like someone just fucked his wife.

He's a dirty fucker but I'm convinced the NHL will simply say "we don't have a clear camera angle" and nothing will be done other than a "stern" verbal warning.

I haven't seen the incident, but I am dumbfounded (but not surprised) that he won't face any disciplinary action. If he did do what is alleged (stomp on a player's leg), then he should be suspended for at least 15 games. Seeing the brutal injuries that have happened this season caused by skate blades (Zednik, Bieksa, Perry...), it's pretty remarkable that he won't face any disciplinary action at all.

Pronger's a prick, but of course I'd take him on my team any day. Has he always been this dirty? I don't remember him having this reputation back when he played with St. Louis. I always remember him being a tough, physical player, but I never remember him being so blatantly malicious like he has been the past few seasons.

Wow, no suspension for Pronger, what a surprise. He receives a slap on the wrist for things other guys get multiple game suspensions for.

Did he even get a slap on the wrist? I don't think he got anything..not even a small fine. I would consider 2 or 3 games a slap on the wrist. This is just nothing...

This guy always gets off lightly. Looking up a few of his actions over the years and its amazing he gets away with this stuff other then he is a star player. I mean i believe Bertuzzi got 10 or so games at one point for leaving the bench to a fight. Typical of this league, it wont protect it star players from injuries but it will protect the ones who go headhunting, or in this case stomping.

• 1995: The league suspended Pronger, then with the St. Louis Blues, for four games after he hit Capitals forward Pat Peake in the throat with a stick during a Oct. 29 game at the Kiel Center. Brian Burke, the NHL's director of hockey operations at the time, held a hearing with Pronger, Blues GM and coach Mike Keenan, Pronger's agent and a NHL Players' Association rep. Peake suffered a fractured thyroid cartilage and was expected to miss four weeks at the time of the hit.

• 1998: Pronger, still with the Blues, was suspended for four games for slashing Phoenix's Jeremy Roenick on Dec. 17, 1998. Pronger drew a match penalty when he took a swing at Roenick's helmet. Colin Campbell, the NHL senior vice president and director of hockey operations, ruled that Pronger was attempting to injure Roenick in an "extremely reckless and dangerous manner."

• 2001: Pronger was suspended without pay for one game after leaving the bench and instigating a fight with the Kings' Kelly Buchberger during an Oct. 11, 2000 game. Blues winger Pavol Demitra suffered a broken nose when Buchberger hit him with an elbow during the second period. That hit provoked Pronger to leave the bench.

• 2002: Pronger received a two-game suspension without pay for cross-checking Stars forward Brenden Morrow in an April 3 game. The suspension cost Pronger $231,707.32 in salary. The cross-check left Morrow bleeding near one of his eyes. St. Louis beat Dallas 2-1 in overtime.

• 2004: Pronger, still with St. Louis, was suspended one game without pay for kicking Calgary's Ville Nieminen during a March 14 game. Pronger kicked Nieminen with 9:23 gone in the first period, but there was no penalty on the play. The suspension came as St. Louis was making a late push for the playoffs. The Blues were later ousted in the first round.

• 2007: Pronger, in his first postseason with the Ducks, was suspended one game for his hit on Detroit's Tomas Holmstrom in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals on May 15. Pronger and Rob Niedermayer drove Holmstrom into the glass from behind midway through the second period. The hit knocked off Holmstrom's helmet and left him on the ice with a cut to his forehead. Holmstrom did return to the game. Niedermayer received a five-minute boarding penalty and a game misconduct. Pronger was not penalized. Replays apparently showed Pronger hitting Holmstrom in the head with his elbows, leading the NHL to review the incident.

• 2007: Pronger was suspended one game for his blow to the head of Ottawa's Dean McAmmond in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals. McAmmond was struck as he skated with the puck toward the Ducks net. He did a spin, fell backward, struck his head on the ice, and slid into the corner in the Anaheim zone at 2:01 of the third period. McAmmond was briefly knocked out and left the ice looking woozy after several minutes of on-ice attention.

I was thinking more about his past history, especially his two hits to the head in the same playoff year each receiving only one game. But yeah, in this case, nothing.

Did you feel the same way about Bertuzzi's hit on Moore? It ended Moore's career.
