They should recall Brown, he is a right winger and can out and out fly, fight and hit and apparently score.

Sit Isbister, Cowan and Ritchie until Isbister learns how to hit, Cowan learns how to fight and Ritchie learns how to score.

"Exciting scoring chances and odd-man rushes packed the following four minutes, but the spotlight stayed on Brown. Streaking up the right wing, the feisty forward tallied his seventh of the season and second of the game to put the Moose up 3-0 at 5:31."

Nice little bit about Schneider at the bottom of that link. That makes it the club's fifth consecutive win and Schneider's second shutout in three games, extending his winning streak to seven. Very nice to see DN is getting more tools to work with this summer. cool.gif

I was just wondering what happened to Brown. You'd think after Cowan's injury and the fact that he is getting whooped in most of his fights that Brown would get a look, especially when teams like Phoenix and others are clearly trying to push the team around. Cowan must be a 'glue guy' other wise I could see him sitting in place of Brown. Isbister is playing well and compliments Kes and Burrows well and Ritchie is great on face offs and doesn't back down from anyone so I could see makig a case for them to be in the lineup but given how soft the team is the lack of Brown in the line-up ot at least up with the big club is puzzling. Maybe he should skate with the twins for a bit, at least some players may thik twice about slapping them around like they have been of late.

I dont know whether this is true or not but the TEAM was reporting on the AM show that the Canucks have used all of their call-ups fo rthe season and cannot recall a player from the minors until the playoffs (I assume that they could if injury dhould arise however).

So as much as I would love to see Brown up here, I think is may not be possible for now

EDIT: I tried to search for a story to back this up but couldnt so take it for what its worth...

A limit on call ups? I've never heard of that before. What if a couple of our regulars get injured?

He has tools on the farm and tools on the 4th line.

From what I heard on 1040 it was that the Canucks had more or less decided that the guys who were up were staying up and the guys who were down were staying down. More of a self-imposed no movement. As far as I know there is no limit on player call-ups. Plus we're coming up to the point before the playoffs were the roster expands and you can bring up even more guys.

Of note, Ryan Shannon is near, or beyond the maximum # of games played without being exposed to waivers upon demotion. If someone has a moment to look into the details of this, it'd be much obliged.
