here's a little inpspiration for those of you who leaped off the bandwagon mid-season because of a few losses...

Quote: A winner loses more often than losers. Author: Source Unknown

Quote: The winner persistently programs his pluses; the loser mournfully magnifies his minuses. Author: William A. Ward 1921

Quote: A winner never whines. Author: Paul Brown American Football Coach

Quote: Winners never quit, and quitters never win. Author: Vince Lombardi 1913-1970, American Football Coach

and for those who are barely hanging on...

Quote: Part of being a champ is acting like a champ. You have to learn how to win and not run away when you lose. Everyone has bad stretches and real successes. Either way, you have to be careful not to lose your confidence or get too confident. Author: Nancy Kerrigan American Figure Skater

Quote: If you cannot win, make the one ahead of you break the record. Author: Jan Mckeithen

Quote: Every time you win, you're reborn; when you lose, you die a little. Author: George E. Allen 1832-1907, British Publisher, Author, Engraver

Quote: Winning is not everything, but the effort to win is. Author: Zig Ziglar American Sales Trainer, Author, Motivational Speaker

everybody else...

Quote: Every time you win, it diminishes the fear a little bit. You never really cancel the fear of losing; you keep challenging it. Author: Arthur Ashe 1943-1993, African-American Tennis Player

Quote: When you're a winner you're always happy, but if you're happy as a loser you'll always be a loser. Author: Mark Fidrych

Quote: Winners have simply formed the habit of doing things losers don't like to do. Author: Albert Gray

Quote: Winning isn't everything, but losing is nothing. Author: Red Symons

and ill leave the last word to possibly the best of all time...

Quote: Champions aren't made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them -- a desire, a dream, a vision. Author: Muhammad Ali 1942-, American Boxer

WHATS MY POINT ??

THERE'S MORE TO WINNING THAN JUST SAYING THAT WE SHOULD BE WINNING.

-its a long season. this slump will end and when it does, we will all be very happy.

((( i cant belive Nancy Kerrigan made the list; maybe there is no hope when i need Nancy Kerrigan to tell me things are gona be allright... )))

So basically what you are saying is that no matter how much we cheer for our beloved Canucks, they will continue to lose because of their terrible work ethic where they mail it in whenever things go wrong.

Seriously though, its not bandwagoning to be disappointed when your team is playing the way our boys are playing right now.

I agree. "Bandwagon-fan" is such a stupid term anyway. Anyone who's insulted by the term isn't a real "bandwagon-fan" anyway.

Bandwagoners lose interest when the team is losing. The people who whine and cry and throw tantrums on message boards after a loss may be whiny and bitchy, but they're not bandwagoners.

Exactly. Everyone vents there frustrations in different ways. Some go for a drink, some go and work out, and some type profanities all over the computer. None of these things are bandwagoning. Bandwagoning is all of a sudden becoming a fan of a team (wink wink) when they make a run to the Stanley Cup, and then forgetting about that team when they start to stink, which in the case of the wink, wink will hopefully be sooner then later

Here's one: Watch what losers do, then dont do what they're doing.

Unfortunately the Canuck's do exactly what all the other losing teams do and dont seem to learn from them.

BTW - Sorry nucksin7, but I previously thought you were a guy.

I am not a bandwagon fan, i have been a loyal fan since 1988, however this is my take. Was i pissed off watching a hope for a shutout and a win dashed, dam right i was. As i was carrying my trash out after the game this is the deal. I used to think that people up top were untouchable and that bertuzzi well he will come around he has been away for a whole year. However Morrison, Naslund, Bertuzzi and most definiately Jovanoski are all candidates to be traded. We have been a great team for many years but what have we done in the playoffs? Is naslund doing anything out there to make us impressed not really, Morrison has been getting most of the abuse on here but at least he is a plus player. Jovo has made as many errors as sopel used to and bert well we know he can and will be great but maybe he is worth enough to make a deal to get a goalie and a defensive d man. Also Crawford is a great coach but he is not motivating his players to win and that is his number one priority so I think it is time for a change. Again i am not off the bandwagon i will be vomiting tomorrow night watching the chicago game but does anyone not think like me that no one is untouchable right now? The sedin line i would gladly accept as our top line if need be to see some other players in the top six! That is all just wanted to post and see if anyone had some input on this.

yup, all the players are just too comfortable and the team and coach are too reliant on on the big line to step up, something like Bertuzzi +____ for a goalie &____ , just so other players have to step up.

The last 3 quotes are the ones I agree with the most. And I think that all the knowledgable fans that bitch about the Canucks consistant, piss poor effort probably feel the same way. When I watch this team right now (and I have watched every loss in its entirety) I see a lack of heart, lack of effort, lack of confidence and above all a lack of leadership and direction. I do not blame Naslund. I blame Nonis and Crawford for letting this "bump in the road" get out of hand".

I hope they can break out of it. If they do then Nonis will look like a mastermind for standing pat, if it does not then I hope his fat ass is in the EI line next year because we was given the keys to a potential cup winner.

This is great; you're quoting Horseface Kerrigan on a hockey board. Was that before or after she got whacked on the knee with a pipe by the retard ?
